Therapy Approaches

I provide a unique form of therapy that is focused on solutions to current problems while addressing underlying issues and concerns. I am direct and to the point, and we will work together to develop solutions to your problems, not just talk about your problems. Interventions include: CBT, CPT, EFT, and EMDR.

Cognitive behavior therapy (CBT) is a form of psychotherapy that aims to help individuals identify and change negative patterns of thought and behavior. It is based on the idea that thoughts, feelings, and behaviors are interconnected and that changing one aspect can lead to changes in the others.

Cognitive processing therapy (CPT) is a form of therapy that is often used to treat posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD). It focuses on helping individuals understand and process the thoughts and feelings associated with their traumatic experiences in a healthy way.

Emotionally focused therapy (EFT) is a form of therapy that focuses on the emotional bonds between individuals and helps couples or family members improve their relationships. It is based on the idea that emotions play a key role in the way we relate to others and that by better understanding and managing our emotions, we can improve our relationships.

Eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR) therapy is a form of therapy that is often used to treat individuals with PTSD. It involves the use of eye movements or other forms of rhythmic stimulation to help individuals process and resolve the emotions and memories associated with their traumatic experiences.

All of these therapies can be effective in helping individuals manage their emotions, thoughts, and behaviors, and improve their relationships with others. They may be used alone or in combination with other therapies, depending on the individual’s needs and goals.
